Abstract:

Founded in 1885 as the National Tobacco Workers Union of America, the Tobacco Workers International Union (TWIU) merged in 1979 with the Bakery and Confectionery Workers International Union. The TWIU archives include administrative files, organizers' correspondence and reports, documentation of locals' activities, financial records, memorabilia, publications, and photographs.
