Warren Evans Collection
Abstract
Evans, a 1930s track star at the University of Maryland, collected newspaper clippings, photographs, and sports schedules from his time as a student-athlete and materials related to his 50th anniversary reunion. Evans also donated a leather wall hanging with the university seal and his name and signatures of classmates, Geary Eppley, future Dean of Men, and Charlie Keller, who went on to play major league baseball for the New York Yankees. A preliminary inventory is available.
