Summary: | Postcard featuring photographs of the Milton Inn, Sparks, Maryland, circa 1959-1985. Caption reads: "Purported to have been built by a Quaker around 1740, it was used as a coachman's Inn and stage-coach stop. In 1847 the Inn was transformed to 'Milton' Academy, one of its famous students was John Wilkes Booth, Lincoln's assassin. In 1947 the old stone building became Milton Inn. Today, the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Attilio 'Leo' Allori are maintaining its old charm and grace with the Allori touch for Continental cuisine as mentioned in the Time and Life magazines." |
