Summary: | Dr. Warren Johnson hypnotizing an athlete, April 1959. During the 1950s, Dr. Johnson examined whether hypnosis could help increase the muscular and physical performance of athletes at the University of Maryland. In a 1961 report, however, he ultimately concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support that hypothesis. |
