Built between 1748 and 1754 by Jonathan Nichols Jr., Deputy Governor of Rhode Island, this is the finest of the Colonial homes in the Newport area. Completely restored to its original elegance by the Preservation Society of Newport, it is furnished with Newport-made furniture of the period and open to the public May through October."
