Summary:The University of Maryland Flying Club airplane soars over campus, circa 1980-1989. The Mall is visible along the bottom of the frame and to its left is McKeldin Library. Above that is Cole Field House and to the right of that is Byrd Stadium. The Adele H. Stamp Student Union is at center and in the upper right are high-rise dormitories Hagerstown, Ellicott, and La Plata. Photo caption reads: "John Chambers flys [sic] a Piper Warrior II over campus. The Flying Club will be having a membership drive Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Included in the $5 membership fee will be a free plane ride."
