Summary:Amihud Kramer, Mary Hoover Smith, and Edgar P. Walls tasting soybeans, circa 1948. Professor Kramer, faculty member in horticulture, was an internationally-recognized expert in food technology. Ms. Smith was an instructor in that department in the late 1940s, and Professor Walls was a 1903 graduate of Maryland Agricultural College and horticulture professor for many years.
