Summary:Urbana Home Company, Urbana, Maryland, circa 2001-2010. Front caption reads: "Urbana Home Company, essentials for the home and you. The ambiance of shopping in the 1800s offering vintage and contemporary merchandise." Back caption reads: "Urbana Home Company. This historic building dates to 1830 when it was the store and residence of Carey and Worthington. It continued in mercantile until 1895 and endured Confederate cavalry raids in 1862 and a skirmish in 1864. It was then the Thomas A. Smith & Company General Store and post office. Today the store has reopened, offering great merchandise in a setting reflecting the past. Hours: Wed.-Sun. 12-5 PM, Sat. 10-5 PM. 3513 Urbana Pike, Urbana, Maryland 21704. 301-874-2231."
