Summary:Interrupted ball, Urbana, Maryland, circa 1958-1962. "Steven's" is written on front above "Interrupted ball." Caption reads: "Urbana, Maryland, Upon arrival in Maryland in September, 1862, J.E.B. Stuart's Confederate cavalry held a dance with the ladies of Urbana at an unoccupied academic building. The dance was interrupted when the cavalrymen had to leave to face an approaching Federal force. After the fight, Stuart and his men returned to finish the dance." Postmark date: August 22, 1962; Message included.
