Summary:Manassas Battlefield, Manassas, Virginia, circa 1907-1914. Caption reads: "Manassas Battle Field, showing the spot where T. J. Jackson received the name of Stonewall. The Stake in the background marks the spot where General Bee stood as he uttered the words, 'Look! There stands Jackson like a stonewall. Rally on Virginians,' and a moment later was killed. On this field in the two battles a total of 157,000 men were in engaged in battle with a total loss to both armies of over 43,000 men." Postcard number: 228.
