Caption reads: "Drive out from Old Santa Fe in the morning and you will meet strings of tiny burros plodding slowly townward and loaded with great 'ruffs' of split pinon and cedar firewood. During the day the burdens will be sold in the ancient streets. In the evening, repeating the routine of centuries the Mexican drivers will head again for the distant hills."
