Summary:Recording of Katherine Anne Porter reading her long story "Noon Wine" on November 12, 1953, at the Poetry Center, 92nd Street YM-YWHA, New York, NY. Tape three of three. Porter reads the text of "Noon Wine" on pages 258-68 in Collected Stories. After applause, the moderator asks for questions. One question is inaudible. Moderator announces that Porter will read poetry and discuss relevant matters on Sunday. He also notes that copies of Porter reading the "Downward Path to Wisdom" are available for sale in the lobby.
