Official monthly bulletin of the Grand National Peace Jubilee, and Musical Festival to be held in the city of Boston, June 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, 1869 . . . No. 4, May and June, 1869

Summary:In 1869, Patrick Gilmore organized the National Peace Jubilee in Boston. The forces conducted by Gilmore were truly impressive: a chorus of 10,000, an orchestra of 1,000, an organ, 100 firefighters to strike anvils, and a cannon battery. The program for the event was similarly striking, and was published by George Coolidge of Boston.
