His assay initated the gold rush into the Utah territory which in 1864 became the state of Nevada Museum Hours 10:00 to 5:00, closed Monday"; Message reads: "The bldg. is saved - Thanks for your help - I am on the wing and home April first so shall write after that. Mean while you will hear from Calif. Heritage. Sincerely S. Lewis. Message included.
