Summary:The Old Church at Jamestown, Jamestown, Virginia, circa 1907-1914. Caption reads: "Old Church at Jamestown. The birthplace of the Church in America. The first Church service in America was held at Jamestown, May 13th, 1607, beneath a sail lashed to trees. In 1637 the brick church was built, of which the tower still stands. Here Pocahontas and Captain John Smith attended divine service."
