Caption reads: "The Barn was built in 1753, with bricks imported from England, and was used during Washington's occupancy of Mount Vernon. In the coach house is Washington's carriage, known as the "lost coach," which was recovered and presented to the Association in 1895, by Mr. R. I. Brownfield of Philadelphia."
