Summary:Photograph of the celebration and "Grand Reunion" of the Filipino Guerrillas of Bataan Assn. Photo was taken at the LaSalle Hotel in Chicago, Ill., on June 13, 1948, approximately a year after the Philippines became independent of U.S. occupation. Two (2) banners hang in the background and read: (1st) "Mabuhay! Filipino Guerrillas of Bataan Welcome...Grand Reunion. Remember Bataan! Lingayan! Cabanutan! Mindanao! Leyte! Bohol! Corregidor!...and to all our guerrillas from Philippines...we greet you. By Jay J. McCarthy-Commander Filipino Guerrillas of Bataan."; (2nd) "In memoriam: In the charity of our prayers...remember all your deceased comrade members of Filipino Guerrillas of Bataan who died in Bataan. Philippines and especially our late comrade member his excellency President Manual Roxas. 'You are always in our hearts.'"
