Summary:Press photograph of First Lady Mrs. Carlos P. Garcia visiting children's hospital, June 18, 1958. The caption for the photograph reads, " Mrs. Carlos P. Garcia, wife of the Phillippines President visits Children's Hospital 6/18 where she is shown (left) with Mrs. Florencio Moreno, wife of the Secretary of Public Works, watching one of the patients, polio victim Roy Arnold, 2, being treated in a bath." Mrs. Florencio Moreno is wearing a formal dress known as a "mestiza" dress, and Mrs. Carlos Garcia is possibly wearing a "baro't saya." Traditionally, part of the "baro't saya" is made with fibers from pineapple leaves, called "pina." Donated by Teresa Carandang.
