Summary: | Byrd wrote a letter to Shoemaker about the proposal for improvements to the athletic fields on February 12, 1916. In the letter Byrd states that he hoped the field had been completed the summer before but no progress had been made. Byrd said he hoped to ask permission from the Board of Trustees to allow him to go ahead with the work under the conditions outlined in this letter. The letter discussed the desire and cost for the outdoor track and the wall around the perimeter of the field to be completed. |
