Discords fanzine, December 1981

Summary:The December 1981 issue of Discords, a tabloid fanzine that focused on the punk and underground music cultures in the Washington, D.C. area and beyond. Discords editor Howard Wuelfing was an important early participant in the D.C. underground music scene, both as a musician (Slickee Boys, Nurses, Half Japanese) and as a fanzine creator (Descenes, Discords). This issue of Discords includes interviews with Mission of Burma and Roky Erickson. It also includes writings from notable figures like Jim Testa (Jersey Beat fanzine) and Gerard Cosloy (Conflict fanzine, Matador Records), as well as letters to the editor from Pete Stahl (Scream), Henry Rollins (then still known as Henry Garfield), and Richard Barone (The Bongos).
