Hundreds of thousands of Americans gathered in Washington, DC to demonstrate the political and social challenges that African Americans face. Martin Luther King Jr. gave the infamous "I Have a Dream" speech during the March. Randolph was a key player in the Civil Rights Movement, American Labor Movement, and socialist political parties.
