Summary:Street scene, Pueblo of Acoma, New Mexico, circa 1907-1914. Caption reads: "Acoma, 'The City in the Sky', is located in a beautiful valley 7,000 feet above the sea, upon the top of a mesa which itself is 357 feet above the floor of the valley. It is the 'home of half a thousand quaint lives and of half a thousand years romance.' The pueblo is really three giant buildings running east and west a thousand feet and rising forty feet high. Each building is several hundred feet long but cut by cross walls into separate little homes." Postcard number: H-2025, 79442.
