Alternate title: | The Plaza, Old Town, Albuquerque, N.M. |
Summary: | Plaza, Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico, circa 1908-1914. Caption reads: "The Spanish quarter of Albuquerque is knows as 'Old Town'. The plaza is today as it was when the town was laid out. The quarter is an endless maze of crooked streets and adobe houses, each with its little secluded courtyard. The atmosphere today is of the same drowsy peacefulness as of old. The musical Spanish language is still spoken in its streets. The old church of San Felipe faces the plaza." Postcard number: 12272 |
