Summary:Baker House, Winchester, Virginia, circa 1951-1980. Caption reads: "Baker House, Winchester, Va. This house, which was built in 1846 on land that has been in the Baker family since 1815, was in the middle when Confederate and Union troops clashed at the third battle of Winchester Sept. 19, 1864. Four cannon balls, one of which is shown in this picture, struck the house during the engagement."
