|
Description |
The fourth issue of Chickfactor, a music fanzine created and edited by Gail O'Hara and Pam Berry covering indie rock and pop music. This issue includes interviews with Barbara Manning, Kaye Woodward of New Zealand rock band The Bats, the bands Tiger Trap and Lucious Jackson, Hamish Kilgour and Lisa Siegel of the Mad Scene reviewing 7" releases, reviews of singles, EPs, and LPs, cartoons, and features on first concerts and travel featuring Cynthia Connolly, Kim Deal of the Breeders and Pixies, D'arcy Wretzky of Smashing Pumpkins, Laetitia Sadier and Tim Gane of Stereolab, Rebecca Gates, Kim Warnick and filmmaker Jeff Feuerzig. Interviews are wide-ranging, covering subjects from the independent music scene and economy, the experiences of women within the music scene, record labels, songwriting, influences, hobbies, and interests. At the donor's request, incidental personally identifiable information (PII) was removed from the digitized files using Adobe Photoshop. As a result, the digitized version is very slightly modified from the print version in two places.
