German delegate, Ludwig Rosenberg (German Confederation of Labor), talks with Henry Rutz (AFL) and Irving Brown (European Representative of AFL) at the Third World Congress of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU), Stockholm, July 4-11, 1953. Reverse caption reads: "The third world congress of the International Corporation of Free Trade Unions opened in Stockholm on July 4, 1953. Delegates from 74 countries, representing over 53 million members from 100 organizations, met to discuss problems of interest to all. Representatives of the most prosperous, most industrialized nations met with the spokesmen of the poorest, least developed areas, 'In common brotherhood, and with the common aspirations for a better world for all man-kind.'
