Artist's depiction of Washington's Headquarters, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, 1947. Caption reads: "Washington arrived at this house, owned by Isaac Potts, in December, 1777. He remained here for six months, conferring with his aides and generals, addressing appeals to Congress and planning future campaigns. Martha Washington was with him from February until June and was a dominant personality in the camp." Postcard number: 14.
