Back reads "Ambassador Joaquin M. Elizalde of the Phillipines stands with a group of men at the Embassy in Washington, June 12, where he decorated them for the Phillippine Republic. All recieved the military merit medal except for Lt. Gen. Goerge C. Kenney, AAF, who received the distinguished service star. Left to right: former Senator Abe Murdock of Utah, Sen. Hugh Butler (R-Nebr); Sen. Allen J. Ellender (D-LA); Lt. Gen. Kenney; REp. Fred Crawford (R-Mich); Ambassador Elizalde; Rep. Eugene Worley (D-Tex) Rep. Karl LeCompte (R-IA); Rep.
