A female commentator discusses the story. Porter addresses the commentator's question about the roots of her fiction, specifically including that of "Maria Concepcion." A male commentator discusses the structure of "Old Mortality" and "Noon Wine" and begins a discussion of "Pale Horse, Pale Rider."
