Caption: | This print, from a set of 25 photogravures of drawings, depicts the Administration Building at the World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1893. Located on the Court of Honor, the Administration Building provided the entrance point to the fair. Richard Morris Hunt served as architect for the Administration Building, which measured 262 by 262 feet. This building exemplifies the uniform neoclassical style and white color of the major buildings that earned the fair the nickname White City. |
