Summary: | Advertising flier promoting three concerts in 1980 by the Washington, D.C. hardcore punk band, The Teen Idles. The concerts occurred on June 28 at Fred's Inn in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, D.C., June 30 at Scandals in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. and on July 2 at Marble Bar in Baltimore, Maryland. Members of The Teen Idles included Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson, who went on to start the record label, Dischord, as well as the highly influential hardcore band, Minor Threat. MacKaye later played in the bands Embrace, Fugazi, and The Evens. Joining The Teen Idles for two of the shows was The Untouchables, another band from the D.C. hardcore scene. MacKaye's brother, Alec, was the vocalist for The Untouchables. |
