Photo of soprano Enya Gonzalez who sang during a broadcast commemorating Philippine Commonwealth Day, November 15, 1942. Enya Gonzalez is best known for her recurring role as Cio-Cio San in "Madame Butterfly." The back of the photograph reads, "Sings in Honor of Philippine Commonwealth: Washington, D. C. -- Miss Enya Gonzalez, (Above) will singe during a broadcast commemorating Philippine Commonwealth Day, to be carried by the Blue, C.B.C. and Mutual Networks, Sunday, Nov. 15th. The program will include addresses by President Roosevelt, President Manuel Quezon of the Philippine Commonwealth and President Avila Comacho of Mexico." Donated by Teresa Carandang/Erwin Tiongson.
