|
Description |
Circa 1980s photocopy of a flier for a concert by the Washington, D.C. hardcore punk bands State of Alert, Minor Threat, Bad Brains and The Untouchables. Other bands on the bill were Best, "a reggae band" and "special guests." The concert occurred at 1929 18th St. NW in Washington, D.C. on December 13, 1980. This was the first concert by Minor Threat, who went on to become the definitive D.C. hardcore punk band. Sharon Cheslow photocopied the original flier for the concert while conducting research in the 1980s for the book that she co-authored on the D.C. punk scene, "Banned In D.C."
