Description |
This is a resolution from the University of Maryland Alumni Association urging President Woods to name the new football stadium after Harry Clifton Byrd. They proposed that the stadium be named "Curley Byrd Stadium" because Byrd was the athletic director of UMD for a number of years and deserves "the greatest amount of credit for the accomplishments of the athletic teams". This resolution is dated June 15, 1923.
