A crowd on the National Mall for a Bonnie Raitt performance arranged for the filming of the 1979 American motion picture, "Hair." Raitt's performance was part of an April 15, 1978 concert, the audience for which was filmed for a crowd scene used in the movie's finale. The photograph was taken by Don Hamerman who photographed the set and filming of "Hair" for the portion of production that took place in Washington, D.C. Hamerman was then a staff photographer for Unicorn Times, a monthly performing arts periodical in Washington, D.C.
