Photocopy from 2014 donated by Mike Heath of the first issue of Vintage Violence, a Silver Spring, MD. based fanzine that Heath edited, which was focused on the underground punk culture in the Washington, D.C. area in the late 1970s. This issue is considered the first punk fanzine to come from the Washington, D.C. area and it includes reviews of music by the Ramones, David Bowie, Phil Manzanera & Brian Eno, Flamin' Groovies, Blondie, and others. This issue also features an overview of the then-new punk scene in D.C., covering bands like The Slickee Boys and The Look.
