Title |
Bad Brains concert flier, WUST Radio Music Hall, Washington, D.C., August 24, 1985
|
Description |
An advertising flier promoting a concert by the punk band, Bad Brains. The concert occurred on August 24, 1985 at the WUST Radio Music Hall in Washington, D.C. Bad Brains was one of the founding bands in the D.C. punk scene, but had moved to New York City a few years prior to this concert. Despite relocating, Bad Brains still possessed a strong connection to the D.C. punk scene, which had grown significantly in the band's absence. A little over a decade after this show, WUST Radio Music Hall became the new site of the 9:30 Club, a flagship venue in D.C.'s underground music scene that had initially been located at 930 F St. in the northwest section of the city.
