Dancing in the Streets founder Elise Bernhardt introduces a program of excerpts representing the six works commissioned for the French/American Dance Exchange for Liberty Dances, a concert commemorating the centennial of the Statue of Liberty, performed in the Battery Park. This showcase included Liz Lerman's "Still Crossing," which became a much-revived signature work for the Dance Exchange. Other dances performed were "Colleen Ann"; "Quoi de Neuf"; "A Haven for Restless Angels of Mercy"; "Quelque Chose Comme un Oiseau"; and "Water, the Matter"
