Title |
Washington Free Clinic leaflet distributed at Fugazi concert, April 1993
|
Description |
A leaflet distributed at a concert by the punk rock bands Fugazi, Hoover, and Slant 6. The concert was held on April 2, 1993 at the University of Maryland's Ritchie Coliseum in College Park, Maryland. The leaflet promotes the work of the Washington Free Clinic and advocates for health care reform in the United States. It also promoted a "nonviolent civil disobedience" protest that called for "a fundamental change in our national health system," which was planned to occur on April 26, 1993, a day after the March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay, and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation. The leaflet was published by Positive Force DC, an activist group with strong ties to the Washington, D.C. punk community.
