Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Cranes loading sugarcane on small flatcars (I123) to go to mill. Cane is first bulldozed into windrows, along with some earth, and cranes pick it up with grappling hooks. Earth is picked up in large quantities. This is on Maui."
