|
Description |
Jacob Maurice Coopersmith was a musicologist, Handel scholar, performer, conductor, teacher, and music librarian. These slides from his collection at the Special Collections in Performing Arts were digitized for ease of access and due to deterioration in the original objects. Highlights among the slides include 1: Handel's death mask; 12: and 13: Handel's Will; various busts and portraits; music autographs; and 75 through 115: Ero e Leandro. A full transcription of the envelopes that housed the slides may be found at the following URL: http://www.lib.umd.edu/PAL/SCPA/Coopersmith-Slides-Descriptions.pdf
