This black photograph album with spiral binding includes 316 photographs and several postcards and greeting cards dating from the years 1951 - 1956. It documents Julius Bassin's time in Japan, including his travels, social events, photos with U.S. Ambassadors to Japan, Robert D. Murphy and John M. Allison, Chief Justice Kotaro Tanaka, Prince Takamatsu, Ben Blakeney (who served as a defense counsel at the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal and defended Shigenori Tōgō, General Yoshijirō Umezu, and Admiral Soemu Toyoda) and others. It also includes photographs of the signing of the Tax Treaty, Patent Agreement, Tokyo Protocol, Agriculture Agreements, Exchange of Publications.
