Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Houses along the south side of Adel Street, Seat Pleasant, Maryland, as seen across filled area to which dirt is still being added. Two of the three houses at the right next to the trees have had foundation troubles, and footings may be in fill. Houses are all built on a steep slope in marine sediments."
