|
Description |
Gregg Allman seated backstage at a March 1978 concert by the Nighthawks at the Bayou in Washington, D.C. Allman — best known as a member of the Allman Brothers Band — joined the Nighthawks for a six-month period in 1978. The Nighthawks are a Washington, D.C. blues band who maintained a devoted local audience since the early 1970s. The image appeared in the April 1978 issue in a photo essay by Hamerman titled "Shots."
