Chapters and notes for the manuscript Harmony: or Chord formation, relation and progression: being introductory to the art of Musical Composition to which is prefixed a brief view of Musical Notation, circa 1871-1872. The manuscript is divided into two parts. Part I is entitled "Musical Notation", which consists of a Prefix and Chapters 1-13, and includes two versions; one with the notation, "1st copy" and the other with the notation "2nd and corrected copy". Part II consists of Chapters 1-46. Chapter 46 is entitled "Closing Remarks".
