An undated photograph of the five storied pagoda at the Nikko Tosho-gu shrine, where Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543–1616) is enshrined. Ieyasu was the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. The photograph was likely taken by Chester E. Whiting, founder of the United States Army Field Band, while on tour.
