Newly built thatched-roof house, H15
|
Description |
Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "A newly built house in the village of Ibu, Okinawa. The roof, a new thatch beginning to fade from green but still smelling like new-mown hay, is made of young bamboo, and the walls are a wickerwork of bamboo canes. A small boy is standing in the shadow on the porch at the right."
