Photocopy of an advertising flier promoting a concert by the Washington, D.C. hardcore band, The Meatmen. The concert occurred on November 15, 1984 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The other performer on the bill was H.R., who also was the singer for the hardcore band Bad Brains. The photocopy was made by D.C. artist, author, and musician Sharon Cheslow as part of the research for "Banned in D.C.," a book she co-authored with Cynthia Connolly and Leslie Clague. The flier was designed by Alec Bourgeois, a musician from the D.C. punk scene who went on to play in the bands Severin and The Capitol City Dusters. Bourgeois was also a longtime employee of Dischord Records.
