Description provided by photographer Roy Simonson reads: "Brick and pottery plant near Nakoshi, northeast corner of Motobu peninsula. The mud is worked over, partly with the bare feet, in the shelter at the right, and the kilns are under the roof at left. Red bricks are stacked in foreground to left and buff bricks to right and center. Clay comes from Reddish-Brown Lateritic soils from conglomerate."
