|
Description |
An advertising flier promoting two concerts by punk rock bands in Washington, D.C. The first concert featured the bands Sonic Youth, Holy Rollers, Tsunami, and Smooch and was to be held at the Sylvan Theater, adjacent to the Washington Monument, on October 25, 1992. The concert was to be a protest against the administration of President George Bush, but it was ultimately cancelled before it could occur. The second concert featured the bands Fugazi, Chumbawamba, and Negu Gorriak and was held at the Sanctuary Theater on October 23, 1992. Both concerts were organized by Positive Force DC, an activist group with strong ties to the Washington, D.C. punk community.
